Less Details
Axel Springer is a media and technology company and active in more than 40 countries. By providing information across its diverse media brands (among others BILD, WELT, BUSINESS INSIDER, POLITICO) and classifieds portals (Stepstone Group and AVIV Group) Axel Springer SE empowers people to make free decisions for their lives.
All companies within the group act individually as entrepreneurs, which leads not only to a culture of cultures but also to a diverse communication infrastructure without a joint intranet solution. And this is not a bug, it’s a feature.
In this presentation you will learn:
As Head of Knowledge Network at Axel Springer, Daniela is responsible for the global exchange of knowledge in the field of media and technology. With a mix of academic skills - she has a degree in business administration - and industry experience, Daniela combines theory and practice to foster innovation and collaboration. She started her career in the hotel and event industry and moved into HR before joining Axel Springer in 2004. Recognising the digital transformation in media, she played a leading role in founding the Knowledge Network in 2008 and developed it into a central global initiative within Axel Springer. In addition to her passion for connecting people, Daniela's enthusiasm for technology and organisational development drives her to promote new ideas from colleagues and start-ups alike.
What drives me is the power of collaboration within our company group on a global scale. I love my job because it allows me to make a meaningful impact in fostering connections, supporting innovation and transformation and with that help to stay at the forefront of technological advancements while connecting with diverse experts and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Madeline's journey at Axel Springer began in 2010, where she witnessed the company's digital transformation first-hand. With expertise in project management and a degree in business administration, Madeline discovered her passion for people and knowledge management during her time as a tutor in China. Being a part of the global Knowledge Network initiative since 2018, she loves developing strategies to connect colleagues in an international organization to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. Among other things, Madeline has co-organized the "Media & Tech Con", Axel Springer's big flagship conference bringing together colleagues from tech, business, people & culture and journalism.
What drives me is the dynamic collaboration and knowledge exchange within our global Axel Springer group. I'm passionate about fostering connections and supporting innovation across diverse teams and brands. My role in the Knowledge Network allows me to create impactful connections, fostering collaboration and supporting our culture of cultures – that’s why I love my job!
